The DVD; they basically mst3k'd in a video commentary using the subtitles.

The Men in Black DVD had a video commentary too, IIRC it was Tommy Lee Jones and Barry Sonnenfeld in silhouette and Barry would sort of scribble on the screen. It was pretty swish for the time and my then DVD player struggled with it.
