Also I have a resync of the french stereo track (as all Blu-ray and HD-DVD worlwide have that track botched with about 3mn out of sync during Papagallo speech) by user CarmeloMike which could be used to make this release unique.
If you sync it, Stamper, I will absolutely include it (or both) in this project. The more the merrier. I'll include any track a person wants, if it is in sync. I think it's great to have as many soundtracks as possible for everyone to enjoy.
As a history, I generally don't include non-English tracks. Not because I'm against such things but because I do my syncing by listening to and matching waveforms. Which besides being tedious as all hell, makes syncing languages I can't speak difficult at best. Really need to switch over to syncing via frame matching.
That and a lot of North American discs skip most European languages.

So I checked the Road Warrior french 5.1 dub remix PDB and unfortunately it's a fake remix with the sound coming out from channels.
No wonder they ditched it.
I have however a french stereo dub track fix in sync with the Blu. This will do.
On a note, I think you might want to reconsider doing the "Road Warrior" title preserv, because it seems to me the title on the LD & DVDs is video generated and not the original title.
You can see the original on the TV version here: https://youtu.be/rdZ30QVRRVE?t=5
And also you may have noticed it's not in sync with the sound, whereas the one on the TV version is.
Maybe is there a way to salvage the original animation from the TV print?
I myself bought back finaly the old NTSC DVD with the Pan & Scan side, and I am considering restoring the TV print using the P&S as the main source footage.

I already re-thought this project a bit concerning the Road Warrior title. I split this into 3 projects instead of 2. Both the ld and dvd regrades will have the mm2 title but I also cut down the dvd regrade to the international/US cut and added the Road Warrior title to that.
The Road Warrior project will just have one PCM track and the 5.1 from the dvd. Details on the first page.
To my knowledge that different Road Warrior title was used on the trailers but I’m not sure it was ever used theatrically.
Work continues everyday.

Long needed update since this has progressed since the lockdown. Like Blade Runner it is time to get this finished and like Blade Runner I'm debating a change.
On the front page you can see there are 3 projects listed. I'm thinking about parring that back down to two projects. One called Mad Max 2, long cut, regraded to the LD with the Saul Bass logo, MM2 title, BD's 5.1 and patched PCM (maybe an isolated score).
The second would be Road Warrior which would be graded to the (redder) DVD, have the Bass logo, Road Warrior title (upscaled from the DVD) and be the shorter International/US cut. With the shorter cut that version would have the shorter PCM and the 5.1 from the DVD.
Anyone have any objections to that?

Surprisingly I've only seen this film once, over 25 years ago (didn't even know there were different cuts until now), while all the others in the saga I've seen at least twice. Thunderdome was probably my most watched of them all.
So of course, this project sounds perfect as Jonno put it. Looking very much forward to be able to have access to this project!

Yeah, I forget how many cuts there are but I think we are up to 5? Off the top of my head
1. The original Australian version (with full PG speech)
2. The "lost version" with some alternative material (might be the same as the TV version or the full Aus version, never 100% on that)
3. The TV version also with some alternative and censored material
4. The BD version which restores some materiel cut from the Aus version negative (arrow pull, slowed down tent shot, etc) but still missing material like the full PG speech
5. The Warner/International/US cut
I also watched MM3 a lot more as a kid since it was on UHF TV all the time. It was that, Predator, Running Man, etc.

1. The original Australian version (with full PG speech) was also the international version on all VHS, LDs.
2. The "lost version" aka The TV version with some alternative and censored material (not the same as the Aus/European version)
3. The Warner/International/US cut aka Road Warrior that became the default version worldwide with DVD.
4. The BD version which restores some material cut from the Aus version negative (arrow pull, slowed down tent shot, etc) but forgot to restore the material from the full PG speech.

What LDs have the full Aus version? The Warner LDs are the short cut obviously but I'd love to find a LD with the full speech.
By all accounts the full PG speech was not on the negative hence it missing from the BD.
I have the lost cut somewhere but here is a good rundown of the PG speech and lost cut differences
