I tried taking the same screenshot (more or less), on the fly. Why Italians would use French master is beyond me. In any case, distribution companies clearly have HD scans of localized credits, they provide these to TV stations themselves, so they seem to care enough to invest money to provide these for TV but they are never to be seen on European Blu Rays, which is a shame

Agree, all it would take is some seamless branching so that the french credits plays when you play the french dub.

Except that it would have to work with every language on the disc, and that would mean different authoring and whatnot depending on the country, and that's exactly the annoyance they don't want to deal with. So they stick to an English master and use subtitles in every language when needed.
