Both, SRT is automatically converted to ASS before processing.

I see. But in that case, the transitional ASS cannot include 2 fonts and/or 2 heights, right? I'd rather have full control of the ASS before conversion to PGS.
2 heights can be useful for variable aspect ratios like in "IMAX" presentations, and 2 fonts can be useful for movies such as The Lord of the Rings, Avatar or The Godfather.

Sure if you want to customize by line you need to use ASS tool.

So in your new version 0.96, I cannot feed it with a finely tuned ASS file? It has to be SRT in the 1st place and it'll turn into ASS "undercover" as a transitional format to then convert it to PGS? Am I correct? If so, I shall stick to my current use of version 0.92 which works fine for me. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" as they say.

What? No. It supports both formats. SRT is automatically converted to ASS as a convenience. Its using ass2bdnxml and fully supports ASS as it always has.

Oh, okay. I was afraid the ASS support was just for a transitional conversion being done "underneath" and that we had to start with a SRT file.

Oh no way! I just wanted a quick way to spit out a SUP for a SRT, and was using your settings as the default. Sorry I should have been clearer.

Also if you missed it, this new version is using ass2bdnxml, an offshoot of avs2bdnxml that no longer requires Avisynth at all and is still being updated.
