Okay, I went ahead a bit with this. The staggering irony is that the DRM part is apparently actually easier than the also entirely retarded region license shit.

At least a rip from Amazon Streaming services works with "StreamFab" flawlessly with 1080p content.

However, "The Insider" is neither available on the German Apple or Amazon websites, but rather the US one - which require US credit cards with a billing address there.

Yes, they do absolutely everything that one doesn't risk spending real money on those things.

While I'm rolling my eyes about the whole system, I wonder though if those versions would even be open matte like the one we already have. Trailer-wise, it doesn't look like it would be and then it's a trade off between "720p open matte" vs. "1080p cinema scope" anyway ...
