[Canceled] The Blade Runner Regrade Collection (Restored DC and IC Regrade v2.0)

So concerning Blade Runner 2049; I went back to the drawing board on that one. The regrade was just turning out too blue (which happens when you remove the green and yellow) when compared to the cams, etc. So, I had an idea and pulled together as many VFX plates from effects demo reels as I could find, assuming that they would be done before the green color timing was added. Sure enough that was the case and it matches roughly to the cams (blown out and raw as they are). I also found a few shots from a 35mm print. Anyway here is a current look at where the grading for 2049 is when mixing together all those elements:

Well, now you can regrade the open matte version, too, and getting a YAO subtitle file, make everyone happy - open matte and OAR lovers!

I would love too but that’s up to random since it's his project and it doesn't feel right changing anything publicly without him being cool with it. Clearly a lot of effort went into it.

Also, oddly enough, the color timing is slightly different than the US BD with less green and yellow.

Really? Strange... those US studios, and their mania go get everything greener and yellower - or tealers & oranger...
