[In progress] "The Terminator" 35mm scan emulation regrade

Hey, guys.

I've started a regrade of the remastered 1080p Blu-ray emulating the 35mm scan that's been out there for a while, which I like quite a lot and which looks more similar to the T2 cinematography with the blues and purples, whether 1984 accurate or not. I'm at 13'30" for now. There's a couple of shots I need to revisit, but here's how it looks right now:

Guys, I have no idea why, but suddenly I have this error message when launching the colormatch tool:



And then when I click "OK", I have this error message:



I tried to reinstall the colormatch tool, same result. So, basically, I'm screwed and can no longer continue.

Have you tried reinstalling Matlab? 'MCR Instance' seems to have something to do with that program.

I have. Didn't work. So I guess I'm screwed until I change computer and try to install it on a new one, which is not in the cards for now. Or maybe when Dre releases his version 2.0, maybe that one will work instead. In the meantime, no progress can be made.

You said you have no idea why, but... Possibly a Windows auto update? Did you install anything little something else that might have secretly upgraded some library file? I'm deathly afraid of some of my little video software tools suddenly not working so a part of me really wants to know what happened here (but if the answer is "I already said I don't know" then understood and sorry).

I actually do suspect it might be a Windows update at fault here, as I don't see what else has changed recently on my PC.

Ugh, this is exactly why I still use Windows 3.1.  I have full control over (avoiding) updating!

You could maybe make a new partition on your PC and for a dual-boot system, then do a new install of Windows for using the tool (and maybe some other stuff) and prevent it from accessing the internet.  Or maybe a USB boot disk will work.

OK, so for just as an unknown reason as why it went away before, now my colormatch tool capabilities came back and it's running. Go figure!
